Formed in 1962, the WCTDA is an association of independent tire dealer professionals and other key players united to improve the tire industry through enhanced safety, education, training, solid ethics, and effective lobbying.
The WCTD unites members on myriad issues, from government legislation, labor standards, health and safety to manufacturing requirements, tire recycling, and the environment.
The WCTDA includes the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, representing over 800 members.
The WCTD was instrumental in developing industry-managed scrap tire recycling programs in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Second to none in North America, the programs achieve high diversion rates and drive a vibrant recycling industry.
The WCTDA is led by their Board of Directors, with the support and efforts of their Executive Director, Ray Geleta.
The WCTDA produces the “Tire Tracker” newsletter for tire professionals. The Tire Tracker connects industry professionals with the latest industry news, updates, and articles of information affecting their business. Issues of the Tire Tracker are available for download on the WCTDA website.
