Formed in 1955, the OTDA represents an extensive collection of tire retailers, automotive repair shops, and dealer groups throughout Ontario with a primary goal of promoting, educating, and expressing their members in all areas that impact the growth and prosperity of the tire industry.
The OTDA works with industry and industry suppliers to provide their members with access to accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information. The OTDA is recognized by industry and government as the representative body of the tire dealers of Ontario.
The OTDA represents approximately 500 Ontario Tire Dealers, Distributors, Manufacturers, Retreaders, and Suppliers that sell in excess of 60% of the passenger, light truck, medium truck, and agricultural tires sold in the province annually. Additionally, members of the OTDA generate an equivalent amount of scrap or used tires as collected from consumers when they purchase new tires.
The OTDA is led by their Board of Directors, with the support and efforts of their Executive Director, Adam Moffatt.
The OTDA produces the “Trends” newsletter for tire professionals. Trends connects industry professionals with the latest industry news, updates, and articles of information affecting their business. Issues of the Trends are available for members to download on the OTDA website.
